DeCoria Camping Trek
Trek is an appropriate word to describe our journey (another good word), to Union Creek, Oregon. We left a day late because the breaks on the camp trailer broke. Sweet. Not really, can you just hear that sentence thick with sarcasm! Ya, I thought so! hahahahaha In the end, we couldn't repair the break so we left any way the next morning. Everyone's campsites were spread out, so that was a bit of a disappointment, plus they had ticks there. YUCK! But we made the most of it. We went to the Lewis and Clark Intrepretive Center, went to a park and swang and played like a child. It was awesome! We also went to the dollar store and got some sweet stuff. Like sparklers and pop its and snakes, ya know the kind you had on the 4th of July when you were kids. Claire and I loved those things. We like to watch them grow and them we smashed them into nothing with our feet. Good times. Anyway, this day was my favorite day. It was just our "lil family and Claire. It is imprinted on my mind forever.
This trip was with the Dallas' family, in case I didn't mention that. Did a lot of bike riding and a LOT of eating! Maybe a bit too much! But that's nothing new, at least not for me!!! Thanks you mom and dad for those great genes! Woohoo! hahahahahahaha
When it came time to leave we heard that familiar rattling and sure enough, 2nd of the 4 breaks broke. They were just old and needed to be replaced. I blame Dallas for the rest of the trek home. He cursed us, and I don't believe in curses. He said, "Just watch we'll blow some tires on the way home." Sure enough we blew a tire and the other 3 were going to follow suite shortly there after. We did make it to La Grande, and Taunya and Jason, and Dallas' folks, Shauna and Fred, came to aid us with their spare tires, but they weren't the right size. So needless to say, Taunya took Aspen and Claire left with Fred and Shauna (she had to get back for school), and Dallas and the 2 'lil kiddos and I slept in our camper in the Wal-Mart parking lot. hahahahahaha Yep, I'm one of the few who have camped in the Wally-World parking lot. I must say, I'm all women now! hahahahahahaha

I'm so glad we were able to stop and attempt to help. Wish we could have loaned you our spare. We've camped at "Camp-mart" twice and I'm sure we will visit Camp-mart again! Hehe!
