Easter!!!

Gma Mary and Easton after the hunt.
Gpa Tom and Layken.
This is what Layken did when we colored the Easter eggs. She slept. We couldn't rouse her.
Easton eating some chocolate.

YEAH!!! We had church at 9a so the Easter bunny must have come some time while we were at church. hee  hee I saw a good friend from high school there. Christine and her hubby and 2 kids. We were debating on whether to show up for our 10 year high school reunion. Our final consensus was to go. So, this had better be fun! hahahaha I guess, it's sometime this summer.

Anyway, the wind was almost unbearable as the kids (When I say "kids", I mean Layken. Easton just sat there looking around and had no interest what-so-ever in the eggs.) hunted for the eggs, toys and treats. My mom had, I swear, 7 plus dozen eggs for the kids to hunt. I refused to put 2 of the 3 dozen hard boiled eggs out. I think she got a "lil crazy! hahahaha The Easter bunny brought them a music set with a drum, tambourine, and other music making instruments. They each got a ball and Gma gave the kids "101 Dalmatian's".

Dinner was really yummy and the angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream was mouth wateringly good. We picked up Aspen at her dad's house, she spent Easter with him this year. She said she had lot's of fun! Her g-ma Karen bought the kids a 'lil Easter gift. She is always so nice to think of them. They get really excited when Aspen says she's brought something for them from her g-ma. Layken got a yellow lunch box that looks like a duck. It's adorable and Easton got a duck print pale. So cute!

Dallas went to go play the Wii with his brother's when we got home. He didn't get back 'til about midnight. He must have had lot's of energy from his "early" night the night before! hahahahahahahaha

We had a really great time. Next time we go up we'll have to spend more time. Layken freaked out because she saw the pictures on my blog with g-ma and g-pa. She ran into the living room got her shoes and said, "Mom let's go to my house with G-ma and G-pa, and Auntie...she's at Disneyland." She was referring to my parents house. Poor kid. Auntie wasn't here this Easter, she went to Disneyland with some of her friends.

A Yaki-Vegas Easter

We went to Yakima this weekend to see the 'rents for Easter. We had a lot of fun! We went to Randall park and the kids attempted to feed the ducks. They, unfortunately, were not hungry. There were slices of bread just floating in the pond water. Yuck. Usually the ducks attack each other to get the food, but not this time. We must have missed their lunch break! hahahaha

Layken played on the toy equipment. Easton mostly played with the bark, ya know - the stuff they usually put underneath the toys? Later that night we watched "Enchanted" the movie. I love this movie! Dallas hit the hay at 8:30p the guy must have been exhausted because he never does that or perhaps it was just the movie? huh? hee hee

'Lil Friends

Easton and Ty playing with the electronics. Making both their papa's proud!

Paige and Layken playing. Layken is wearing her usual attire. Her bathing suit!

Layken has recently become very good friends with two 'lil girls. Ryley and Paige. Ryley is a year younger than Layken and Paige. Although Layken is a head taller than Paige, Layken is only a month older. hahahahaha. It's very funny.
Easton has his 'lil buddy Ty to sit next to as all the girls run around fighting over the baby dolls. Although there are plenty to go around. Easton is a month older than Ty, but Ty is soo much beefier and taller than my 'lil shrimpkins. I snapped these pics of the kids when they were over one afternoon.

HELP ME!

I need to find a cute one piece bathing suit that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! Any suggestions?

TIs the Season!

The season for Slurpee's! Last night Tiffany and I made the first run of the year for a Slurpee. Usually it's a summer thing, but our late night run's for the sweet treat has started unusually early this year! It was sooo good!
I love Slurpee's!!

Pre-Easter Festivities

On our way to the Easter egg hunt. My nephew Brian is in the back with Aspen.
Some of my neices and nephews as well as my kids with their treats.
The kids with the Easter Bunny.
Easton watching the kids hunt for the eggs. (Not much hunting was involved. The eggs were just scattered all over the ground in a flagged off square.)

On a side note, before I forget...Friday we found out that the 1st people who offered on our house lifted their contingency of their home selling and we signed a contract stating we'd be out by April 30th! Whoohoo! That's right baby! On to bigger and better! Well, actually just bigger!!! So we've got a month and a half to pack up and get out! hahahaha We are really excited! Aspen is pumped to get her own room. All three of the kids have been sharing one room for sometime now. Poor kids!! hahahaha
On another side not...Aspen's soccer team won their game this afternoon. She still hasn't scored a goal, but she has come so close so many times. We're hoping soon!!!

OK, so back to the Easter festivities! The kids got to see the Easter Bunny this year. Wink Wink. He was at an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Battelle (Ya, it's a nuclear plant, hahaha, that sounds so funny!) Layken was so excited to be around all the kids she just stood around excitedly smiling at all of them as they ran around her picking up Easter eggs. I was yelling from the sidelines, "Pick up some eggs Layken, there's candy inside!" She must have come too at this point and started running around gathering as many as she could. She was hilarious!  hahahahaha
So get this...shortly after the kids sat on the Easter bunnies lap, the Easter bunny went to sit down and missed his chair completely. He fell flat on his bottom and I started laughing hysterically. Was that wrong? hahahahahhaa Kids, don't worry. The Easter bunny will be ready to go Easter morning to deliver your eggs and treats! hee hee

Our Weekend

We had a grandiose time this weekend. Friday hung out with some BFF's Jonny and Jill, we Wii'd it up at their place. I ate like a 'lil pig on these 'lil cheddar air crisps - they're like chips - from Costco. Yummy. FYI, I shook my rump uncontrollably! HA HA
Saturday we worked around the house washed the van and started cleaning the big F-350 truck. Dallas said it was long over due. I didn't realize until we were vacuuming the inside that it hadn't been cleaned since our last summer's vacation with our friends to the coast. HAHAHAHA, that is sooo bad. No wonder Dallas said it was long over due. We went to Aspen's soccer game. I don't know if they won or lost. It's always a little difficult to follow, the kids run all over the place. They are much improved though from last year. We tried to play the newly wed game with some of our other BFF's Tiffany and Terry, and Clay and Linsey. That ended pretty quick, we ended up talking about money spending habits instead. I do believe, I was the victim, of this conversation! HA I love my bedskirt!!!
Sunday was nice, went to church and had The Crew over for dinner. "The Crew" is Terry and Tiffany, and Linsey and Clay. Well, that's what I call them anyway, cause there's so many of us when we've got all our kids together. hahahahaha We had two different couples stop in and decide to check out the our house. The air was filled with the aroma of burnt rolls (Tiffany how many burnt rolls did you eat???) and an odd scent coming from the bathroom, left from it's last occupant. hahahaha The house was filled to the brim with kids and people chatting. Dishes were strewn throughout the kitchen and dining table. Ugh, what a mess! The last couple ended up offering on our house with no contingency. So we've got a bit of a war going on at the moment between the people who offered a week ago and the people who offered Sunday. Friday is the deadline to see who wins- hee hee- the house.
Hope everyone had as much fun this weekend as we had.
Peace

Baby Food

Ok-so I was rummaging around the cupboards today to find something for Layken to have for a snack. I offered her some Gerber Graduate cookies. She didn't want them and said they were for Easton. I decided to try them 'cause I was kinda hungry. Alright, so they were really good and here I sit blogging and stuffing my face with these 'lil sweet treats I just stole from my baby! HA HA HA

Baby Talk

AHHHH! Easton just waved for the very first time today. Aspen was headed off to see her dad this weekend and her gma Karen waved to us and said "Bye." I waved back and he started waving bye bye too. Oh, man. My little baby is getting so big! Next month he's a year!

Tag, I'm it!

So I haven't done one  of these in years, and I actually said good riddance. BUT, since my SIL, Julie, tagged me, I saw it only fit to respond.  I have love for you Julie!

I was in an utter state of despair. I was 18. The love of my life, Byron, had recently left on a mission and my cousin Kelly had just passed away. She was only 14. I was on a downward spiral of intense depression. Looking back I probably should have been given some drugs and perhaps THERAPY! ha ha Seriously though, I would never go back to this period of my life. I was so alone and so very sad. It has taken me years to repair this era of my life and is still today, sometimes fragile. I was also questioning everything I had ever been taught, in terms of religion. Enough about this, ugh, let's move on to happier times!

5 things on my to do list...
1. Find ribbon for a craft I'm making.
2. Wipe down my bathroom.
3. After my sheets are dry, make my bed.
4. Play a rousing game of Hide and Seek with Layken and Easton.
5. Empty the garbages in the study and in the bathroom.
Fun times, fun times!

3 bad habits...
1. I nibble and bite off the cuticles around my finger nails. Yuck, I know!
2. I tend to over eat whenever food remains in front of me; or if the food is soooo good! Good thing I have my metabolism! ha ha
3. I'm a bit OCD in the cleaning and organizing department.

Places I've lived...
In chronological order.... hee hee
Darwin, NT, Australia
LaJunta, Colorado
Hobbs, New Mexico
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Farmington, New Mexico
Yakima, Washington
Ellensburg, Washington
Seattle, Washington
Richland, Washington
Kennewick, Washington
and some places that I will always call home are Wahpeton, North Dakota (I love you Masching's); Milaca/Bock, Minnesota (I love you Siemer's and Bergstrom's) and Otter Tail, Minnesota ( I love you Gma and Gpa). I spent my childhood summer's in these tiny town's with my relies and I wouldn't change one minute of it!

What I'd do if I was suddenly a billionaire.
I'd go visit my relies for a long time! I'd wear out my welcome! ha ha I'd travel all the places I've only seen in pics, go back to the place of my birth, and I'd pay for any of my friends and family who wanted to come.
Buy an amazing car! I have too many choices to name just one. Buy a whole new wardrobe each outfit would get it's own pair of shoes.
I don't know, something like that!

Jobs I've had...
Now this IS funny.
Bagger at Slaveway. (Safeway) I quit.
Server at Dairy Queen. I got fired.
Graphic Designer turned Secretary at Sara Nelson Design. I got fired. She treated me like a dishtowel.
Stay at home mom...and nobody can fire me! ha hahahahahaha

5 things you don't know about me...
This is hard I think most everyone knows everything about me. But on the off chance you don't know a few, here go's.
1. I like to brush my teeth any time I go out anywhere.
2. I'm scared of roller coaster's.
3. I love, love, love to draw line illustration's and paint.
4. I secretly love Celine Dion songs. Oh man, that's embarrassing.
5. When I get into a pool with my sister, we revert back to age 8 and play like we were kids.

Hope you all feel like you really learned some good stuff about me! ha ha ha

This Old House

So I have great news, our house is SOLD! Of course, this is contingent on their house selling before the 20th of May. With any luck, everything will play out perfectly! I did a running dance up and down the length of our home after I got the news! YEAH!!! A "running dance" is when you dance and run at the same time. This kind of dance is really popular! Well, maybe not so much! hee hee
My sis in law Taunya happened to be here when I got the news. I chucked a Tuna Helper box at her to get her attention. She didn't understand what I was mouthing to her until the very end of the conversation. Her face was hilarious! It was the face of utter confusion! I love her; she makes me laugh!

PS Taunya can vouch for the running dance!

My Auntie

Layken asked me this morning where "her" Auntie was. "Her" Auntie is my sis Claire. I told her she is in Yakima.
So Layken says, "Well, I want her to play with me!" Auntie you are missed.
ps Easton ate dirt this morning. It looked like he ate an oreo! He looked hilarious!

Wii Weekend

We had our best buds over on Saturday, Jonathan and Jill and Tiffany and Terry. Jonny and Jill brought there Wii. We had so much fun!!!! Apparently, I jiggle my butt when I play! ha ha ha ha

Saturday passed like a blur. I don't even know what we did. Now that's pathetic! ha ha ha Sunday we had an open house. It was really weird how quiet the house was without the rugrats running around. We had a pretty good turn out, but by the end of the showing it was slow and Dallas and I fell asleep on the couch. hahahaha Then someone came to the door and knocked. I popped right up and answered the door. I must have looked dazed because the girl asked if we were sleeping. GOOD GRIEF! hahahaha So much for trying to look professional!!

We had an offer on the house. It was a bit low though, we countered it. We are pretty excited that things are moving forward. I've had this gut feeling that the house is gonna sell quickly so perhaps, if the house does sell quickly, I'll have to give my "guts" the recognition they deserve! hah aha haa

Cheers to another Monday, eh?
