Disney World Adventure
We went to Florida back in June, the 12th - the 17th actually. I just got my pics from Andrea and Dustin so I can finally post out trip! Woohoo! Dustin and Andrea, my bro and sis-n-law, and ourselves had some buddy passes from Dallas' bro and so we wanted to use them before he quit at Skywest. Orlando, Florida ended up being our destination point. It was an all day adventure both going and coming home, it was tedious and I hated it, but on the upside we flew for free and we saw Paris Hilton in the LAX airport coming home. So there were perks, the only down side is spending all day trying to get on a plane. I think It was 12 hours or something ridiculous like that. UGH.
We got to Florida and rented some really nasty hotel, although Dustin and Andrea's room was much better than ours, ours smelled like moldy stagnant air, and there was mold in the shower stall, I showered with my flip flops on and tried not to touch anything. On the upside our pillows were really soft and our room had a sliding door out to the pool, which Andrea and Dustin's room did not. So that got a fresh clean room with no pool access, and we got a stinky room with pool access. So after a good night's rest and several hours of getting used to the stink, we woke up and hit the pool. We rolled out of our individual beds (we each got a full/queen bed to ourself, that was another perk, no crowding) and threw our suites on and jumped into the pool and swam for 10 minutes or so. It was really fun!
Met up with my GF from MS and HS, Julie, she got us into Disney World for free because she works there. Thank you, thank you Julie for getting us in and for being our personal tour guide. I had so much fun hanging out with you and Tommy and can't wait to see you soon!
We went to Epcot the first day and had to man it alone because Julie had to work but we caught up with her shortly before dinner and watched the 3-D "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" show. I freaked when the mice came out! We ate dinner at a Moroccan restraunat and got to see a belly dancer. It was so neat! I wish I could move like that! That afternoon we went on some really fun rides, "Spaceship Earth", "Mission Space", the "Advanced Training Lab", this one made me quesy, and Andrea went on the kid version of this ride with me 'cause I'm weak sauce and wouldn't go on the spinning version. hahahahaha. We also drove the "Test Track", and went on the "Seas with Nemo & Friends", We flew on "Soarin'" I loved this ride, and also went on "Living with the Land". This ride was very informative. We watched the fireworks that night and they were unbelievable, it was beautiful! Julie cried.
We got a new hotel room for the rest of the trip we stayed at the Radisson, again thanks to Julie and Tommy. Seriously what would we have done with out them? ha ha ha ha
On Day 2 of our adventure (or 3 if you count the all day of traveling) we went to the Animal Kingdom for the first half of the day Julie got to come with us because she had the day off. My favorite ride here was the "Kali River Rapids" ride, you get completely soaked; I love water rides. Although I was wet all day because I chose to wear denim. That wasn't so much fun. Julie opted out of this ride. She didn't want to get wet. Can't blame her much because I was still damp when we got back to the hotel room because we chose to ride Splash Mtn at the end of the day. We went on a Safari ride and everyone but me went on the Yeti ride-"Legend of the forbidden Mtn". I was weak sauce again and choose to go get fast pass tickets for the Safari ride instead. We also went on "Dinosaur" I loved this ride. We should have bought the pic because our faces were hysterical. The photo was taken when a Dinosaur jumps out at us. Can anyone say startled. hahahhahahaha
We ate lunch at the 3 Flame Barbecue and Julie and Dallas went for Burgers. I spilled my coke all over my tray and the people who worked there must have felt bad for me so they gave me a new meal. hahahahaha
After lunch we road the bus over to the "Magic Kingdom" and I have to admit this place by far was my favorite. I think it brought me back to my childhood when my parents brought Claire and I to Disneyland. Pirates of the Caribbean was unfortuately closed, so I made Andrea take a picture of me standing in front of the ride. Julie and I went on the "People pusher" and the "Buzz light year" ride while Dustin, Dallas, and Andrea went on "Space Mtn", again I was weak sauce and didn't choose to ride this ride. It was nice to ride the people pusher and just relax and talk to Julie. When we get together it's like no time has passed from the last time we spoke. Her and I are kindred spirits.
We went on "Thunder Mtn" and I dropped a curse bomb 'cause I got so scared. Dustin thought that was really funny. I ended up liking the ride so much I made everyone go again. We went in the "Haunted House", it was so neat! But my favorite ride of all time was "Splash Mtn" just like when I was a kid. It was always Splash Mtn and Pirates. I could go on those two rides over and over again. It really stunk that the Pirates ride was closed.
Day 3 we went to the Atlantic Ocean and sat on the beach for a while. It's weird because it looks just like the west coast but it's warm. It's a very strange feeling, feeling isn't the right descriptor word. It just didn't feel right. Visited with one of Dallas and Dustin's cousin's for a bit, we ate a yummy restraunt, "Joe's Crab Shack" and then went Mini golfing at a really neat mini golf place.
Day 4 Dustin and Andrea took the rental car and went to a nice beach and Dallas and I opted to stay at the Hotel and relax pool side. Tommy and Julie came and we all hung out had some sub sandwiches from "Publics" grocery store. These subs are sooo good. We had an ice cream treat later. That was yummy too! It dumped water around 3 in the afternoon. It was crazy, it came and went very quickly. We went and road the go carts that afternoon. On the first lap, I got hammered and ended up doing a 360 so I pulled back into the station and got out. That was all it took to end my go-carting career. I know, I know, weak sauce. hahahahaha

AAGH! I am so glad you posted. Not that I can complain, I am not the world's best blogger either :) Your pictures are great. That is so awesome you got to hook up with Julie, she looks great too! So a trip with no kids, I am jealous :) By the way, how many kids are in school now?
Just Aspen. She just started the 4th grade. Layken won't start school 'til 2011, I think or is it 2010. I'm not sure. She's 3.
Tommy and I are so glad you got to come down here! We hope everyone had fun, though I may have had more fun than any of you. You are of course welcome any time. We will be home in Yakima in a few weeks, hope to see you! Love to everyone.
